We welcome new members!

The Board of Directors and Staff of Congregation Iyr HaMelech are doing their utmost to ensure the health and safety of it’s members and guests. That is why we are adhering to prescribed health and safety precautions while providing services in our hall, as well as abiding all laws and public health restrictions and offering electronic broadcasts of all services for those who prefer to socially isolate.

We are a Reform Jewish Congregation serving Kingston, Ontario and surrounding communities. Our welcoming, inclusive community invites you to join us in torah (study), avodah (prayer), and gemilut chasadim (acts of lovingkindness).

As a community we celebrate our Judaism in traditional and in creative ways.  We encourage you to sample our offerings and become a member of our temple.

We offer a variety of Shabbat services and activities, study for adults and religious school for children, High Holiday services, a community wide Passover Seder, social action programs and social events for everyone.  Our goal is to share our love of Judaism with you, enhance your spiritual life and embrace you within our community.

  1. We are currently looking for our next home in the Kingston area. We’d like to virtually attend your high holiday services this year. Please let us know what the next steps are.
    Thanks so much,

I will gladly email you a ZOOM Link to our services. Registration for HIGH HOLIDAYS is as easy as registration for a trial membership. Click the button at the top of this page.
I Look forward to seeing you.

  2. I will try to participate in High Holiday services in whatever way you think would suit your needs and mine. Maybe we can work out details when I see you on August 11.
    Michael.

    1. Hi Michael.

I hope to see you at services in KUF this year. We will be practicing health measures to ensure safety for all. For the most part, participation will be as always. I look forward to seeing you there.

      Richard

    2. Michael, you’re a member. My first time attending for the High Holidays. How lovely it would be to see you.

      Warmest Regards,

      Laura

  3. I moved to Cornwall in February 2022 and there is no jewish anything here. I was part of the Midtown Chabad in Toronto and they sent me matzah for Passover this year but I have nothing kosher – there is nothing kosher to buy here. I am very unhappy living in Cornwall since February and want to move again.
How can I be a part of the jewish community in Kingston from here? I am a senior who is homebound and I don’t go out except to walk outdoors for exercise. I am so lonely and unhappy here . . . I wish there was some way I could be a part of Kingston’s jewish activities etc. Do you have kosher products available? Do you have passover meals for homebound seniors? I am really missing these community outreach practices so much.
    Thanks,
    JR
